Hundreds

This exercise a stabilizing exercise for the abdominal wall. In the hundreds, you press down on the spring bar and pulse the bar up and dofwn a hundred times. In biomechanics language, the up and down movement creates an instability or perturbation on your upper torso. Your core, or abdominal wall, must tighten in order to form a solid link between the upper and lower body.

Of course, it doesn’t need to be exactly a hundred pulses.

We borrowed the name “Hundreds” from a well known pilates exercise. Even though our Hundreds looks completely different that the pilates Hundrds, they both activate your core in much the same way.
