Upside down Kettlebell walk
The Upside Down kettlebell walk is an exercise for the stabilizing muddles of the shoulder and scapulae. The Upside Down kettlebell walk is also an exercise for grip strength and balance.
The stabilizers of the shoulder are four muscles which collectively are called the rotator cuff.
The upside down kettlebell walk and other shoulder exercises, such as the cable rotator cuff exercise, are in our program because we believe they may help prevent frozen shoulder syndrome. Frozen shoulder is a painful condition in which, as the name suggests, and person loses their range of movement in the shoulder. It primarily affects ladies between forty and sixty years. It primarily affects the non-dominant arm, in other words the arm that is less active.
There is evidence that a lack of movement and weakening of the different muscles, ligaments, and tendons of the shoulder increase the risk of frozen shoulder.
Pre-therapy is the idea that one can start physical therapy before a problem like frozen shoulder develops. Pre-therapy is the idea of using the tools of physical therapy for prevention. The upside down kettlebell walk is an excellent way to maintain strength and range of movement in the shoulder.
