At Activelab we offer four types of sessions.

  • Stretching and Core Work. This isn light and gentle session. Excellent for stress reduction.

  • Upper body Strengthening.  This session also contains stretching and core work, but it includes upper body exercises for toning the arms.

  • Full Body Strengthening.  This session contains core work, strengthening the arms, and work for the biggest, baddest muscle of your body: The Glutes. Your powerhouse.

  • Metabolic Training.  This session is challenge the body’s energy systems with vigorous full body movements.  This is also known as high intensity interval training (HIIT). These sessions are significantly more grueling than the other types.

Clients can choose from a session type each time they come to Activelab. You are not locked into a session type. You might push you limits with a metallic session one day, and then the next time take it easy with stretching and core work.

One and Done Programming

We do only set of each exercise, which separates Activelab with a conventional gym workout, but is in the tradition of traditional Pilates.

Between Sets

Between sets, the Activelab protocol is to stay active. This can mean strolling around the space, saying hello to your fellow Activelab members, or a stretch. The important thing, which we ask of everyone, is to please stay active.
