Spring Bar Pushups
The Spring Bar Push-Ups might look like an exercise for the arms, but it is also a stability and balance exercise. This is a stability exercise because the springs create an unstable position. Your abdominal wall or your core, must stiffen to provide a reliable connection between your arms and the lower body. The ankles are a key part of balancing in this exercise.
The difficulty many people have in this exercise is that they want to bend their body at their hips. Most novices perceive that bending at the hips will help them balance. However, bending at the hips makes the position even more unstable. For this reason, we challenge everyone to keep their trunk and the lower body aligned, as if they were doing a plank.
